Outline

You will chose the most applicable route too develop your skills. In this 9 week course, Learners will be able to develop basic fabrication skills in one of the following Welding processesMetal Inert Gas (MIG)Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)Oxygen / Acetylene (OA)Manual Metal Arc (MMA)You will learn the basics of welding equipment, safety, preparation and process and develop these skills at Level 2.

Progression

Once you have completed your Award in Welding, you may wish to enroll on the Certificate in Welding skills in academic year 24-25. The L1,2 & 3 Certificate in welding is a longer 18 week course and you may wish to advance in Level or change skill.

Entry Requirements

Level 2 candidates should have some previous experience of welding and / or have completed the L1 award previously. We are able to discuss this during our initial enrolment process.
