Outline

The course will enable you to develop key underpinning English skills and skills for life. It will develop your reading, writing and speaking and listening skills and give you the opportunity to:• Listen, understand and respond to verbal communication in a range of contexts• Acquire an understanding of everyday words and their uses and effects, and apply this understanding in different contexts• Read texts encountered in everyday life and work, and develop confidence to read more widely• Write texts and documents and demonstrate a sound grasp of spelling, punctuation and grammar.

Entry Requirements

There is no entry requirement to enrol in the class, but the level to be studied will be based on previous levels achieved and an initial assessment.

Don’t let the cost of studying put you off – most of our students study for FREE, and those who don’t qualify for funding are very often eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan.
