The course will enable you to develop key underpinning maths skills and skills for life.The course content covers 3 main areas:• Using numbers and the numbers system• Using common measure, shape and space• Handing data and information
Progression
Having a maths qualification provides you with a good foundation when it comes to applying for all jobs.There are also opportunities to progress onto:• The next level of Functional Skills (up to Level 2)• GCSE maths• HE courses where Level 2 literacy is required• Apprenticeship coursesEntry Requirements
There is no entry requirement to enrol in the class, but the level to be studied will be based on previous levels achieved and an initial assessment.
