Preparation of wall surfaces ready to paint, application of basic paints, methods of jointing pipework types
, basic maintenance and rectification techniques on common plumbing fittings, plaster mixing and preperation
*Basic patching techniques
, use of common woodwork tools
, fixings types and how to make fixings into surfaces
, mixing cements and mortars
, making good basic brickwork surfaces.

Progression

Candidates may wish to progress to the Plastering L1 College Certiicate, Plumbing L1 College Certificate or Welding L1 Award. The course experience will strengthen a candidate CV in relation to finding an apprenticeship.
